Connection & Ping Test

Measure your internet speed, ping and stability, then see what it means in plain words: good enough for Mobile Legends? Smooth for VALORANT? Fast enough for 4K YouTube?

Test type

Measures ping, download and upload using about 10 MB of data. Accurate enough for connections up to about 50 Mbps.

The test uses the nearest Cloudflare server. Close other downloads and streams for an accurate result.

Pick a test type, then press Start test.

How it works

  1. 1Ping is measured by sending many small requests to the nearest Cloudflare server and taking the median.
  2. 2Jitter is the average change in ping from one measurement to the next. The lower, the steadier.
  3. 3Download and upload use files that get bigger step by step. Each direction stops stepping up once a file takes over a second, so slow lines don't burn through data.
  4. 4Ping is also measured during the download. If it climbs a lot while the line is busy, games will lag whenever someone downloads.

Common questions

Why is my in-game ping higher than this?

This test measures ping to the nearest Cloudflare server. Game servers can be in another city or country, such as Singapore, which adds ping. If ping is already high or unstable here, it will be worse in game.

Why do results change every time?

That's normal. Speed depends on signal, busy hours and other devices using the internet. Test a few times at different times of day and compare in the history.

How do I reduce lag in games?

Use 5 GHz Wi-Fi or a LAN cable, get closer to the router, close other downloads and streams, and turn off any VPN. If ping jumps while someone downloads, a router with QoS or SQM can help.

Are my results sent anywhere?

The test runs directly between your browser and Cloudflare's servers. We don't store your results, and the history stays in your own browser.
