How it works

  1. 1Pick the test you want to run. Every test runs in the browser, with no app and no login.
  2. 2Follow the steps in each test: press every key, swipe the whole screen, or listen for sound from the left and right.
  3. 3Anything that doesn't respond or looks off is marked in yellow or red, with an explanation.
  4. 4Buying a used device? Run every test in front of the seller before you pay.

Common questions

Is any data sent to a server?

No. Every test runs on your own device. Sound from the mic test is only played back in your browser and never uploaded.

Which browser works best?

An up-to-date Chrome, Edge or other Chromium browser gives the fullest results, especially for mouse polling rate and controller rumble. Firefox and Safari work for most tests.

Can I use it to check a used phone?

Yes. The dead pixel, touchscreen, refresh rate, speaker and mic tests all work on phones. Open the page in the phone's browser and run the tests one by one.
