Controller / Gamepad Test

Connect a PlayStation, Xbox or other controller by cable or Bluetooth. See every button, trigger and analog stick, then check for drift and test the rumble.

Connect your controller

Plug it in or connect it over Bluetooth, then press any button. Browsers only see a controller after a button is pressed.

Other tests

How it works

  1. 1Connect the controller, then press any button so the browser picks it up.
  2. 2Press every button. Buttons that work turn green, and the count of tested buttons shows below the drawing.
  3. 3To check for drift, let go of both sticks and press Check drift. For 3 seconds, the furthest each stick strays from centre is recorded.
  4. 4Press the rumble buttons to check the left (strong) and right (weak) motors.

Common questions

My controller isn't detected?

Browsers only see a controller after a button is pressed. If it still doesn't show, try a cable, close apps like Steam or DS4Windows that can take over the controller, and reload the page.

What is stick drift?

Drift is when an analog stick reads movement while untouched, so your character or camera moves on its own. Under 5% is normal. 5–10% can be handled with a deadzone in the game settings. Over 10% usually needs cleaning or a new stick module.

Why isn't the rumble test available?

Not every browser supports rumble yet. Chrome and Edge have the fullest support, and not every controller supports it. Buttons and sticks can still be tested in any browser.
